Pet shippers in the presence of international passports, designed by state veterinary, authorities of countries, exporting animals or by the international veterinary certificate, which should be marked that the animals are clinically healthy and vaccinated against rabies. Vaccination should be held not earlier than 30 days and no later than 12 months before the departure date.
You have to pay for transportation of pets, regardless of whether the passenger has a baggage. Weight of the animal with the container is not included in the free baggage allowance. Animals weighing up to 8 kg (container) may travel in the cabin, and more than 8 kg – only in the cargo hold.
Guide dogs accompanying blind passengers are carried free of charge. Items which are not accepted for carriage as baggage:
Animals, except dogs, cats and other indoor (tame) animals and birds that can be accepted for carriage subject to the provisions set forth below. Dogs, cats, birds and other small rooms (tame) animals accepted for transportation only if accompanied by adult passengers and with the prior consent of the carrier.
Passengers are obliged to submit a certificate issued by competent state agencies, and other documents required by the veterinary authorities of any country, territory, from or through which the shipment.
For transportation of animals and birds, the passenger must ensure that the container (cell) of sufficient size with air access. The bottom of the container (cell) shall be watertight and covered with an absorbent material. An exception could be transportation of animals and birds in sealed baskets, boxes with holes for air access. Bird cages should be covered with a dense opaque cloth.
Mass accompanied by animals and birds, including the mass of containers (cells) and the food is not included in the free baggage allowance and paid for baggage fare.
Guide-dogs carried free of charge without the cell above the free baggage allowance, provided that such dog has a collar and muzzle and she is tied at the feet of the owner.
Admission to the carriage room (tame) animals and birds under the condition that passenger assumes full responsibility for them. The carrier is not liable for injury, loss, delay in delivery, illness or death of such animals and birds, as well as in the case of denial of their importation or transportation through any country or territory.
Carrier is not liable for death or personal injury to a person accompanying carried on an airplane animals if they were caused by the behavior of these animals.
Carrier is not liable if the death or wounding the animal had been caused by natural causes, the actions of his party, or the behavior of the animal or other animals (for example: bite, kicks, strangulation), and if it was connected with the habits, natural features or the nature of animals.
If you are sending the animals, please be ready for set of documents confirming that it is healthy.
Health certificate. Issued to any veterinary clinic, must contain information about immunizations by age. The last vaccination against rabies must be made no earlier than one year prior to departure and no later than two months, if you take some dogs in a trip is recommended to learn more about double dog leashes.
Import or export of animals, birds and plants, endangered species, CITES requires a permit-CITES (Washington Convention, 1973.).
